About our checks
Know what a Tillio deal means.
Tillio helps UK shoppers compare selected offers and follow price changes. The evidence beside an offer matters more than its discount badge.
Exact products and selected coverage
We record the model and variant with each listing. Colour, capacity, pack quantity, included accessories and condition can change what you receive. New, refurbished and used offers are labelled separately. We check selected UK retailers and products, so a single-shop offer does not establish the lowest UK price.
Current prices and delivery
Offers need a verified in-stock check and an unexpired observation. Our comparison engine omits checks older than 24 hours; shorter offer expiry times also apply. We show the check time and retailer link so you can confirm the final basket. Item prices and delivered totals stay separate. Unknown delivery cannot win a cheapest-delivered comparison.
Price drops and reference discounts
An observed drop needs an earlier recorded price for the same listing and condition. A shop reference saving uses the retailer’s higher comparison price and is labelled as such. Neither proves an all-time low. History charts show recorded observations and gaps, rather than a continuous record. Unusual prices are candidates for review until their variant, eligibility and checkout cost can be confirmed.
Codes, membership and later rewards
A conditional discount needs its stated eligibility and any required confirmation. We do not quietly subtract uncertain cashback from the amount paid today. A possible later reward depends on the provider’s tracking, approval and payout rules. The savings calculator lets you compare the assumptions separately.
Amazon and retailer connections
Amazon buying guides and search links use our UK Associates tag. Live Amazon API prices are not connected, so those links do not establish a verified Amazon deal. A retailer page or shop name on Tillio does not imply full stock coverage or an affiliate partnership.
Editorial method
Our buying guides describe specifications and trade-offs. Our bargain-hunting articles use AI-assisted desk research, worked examples and linked primary sources such as manufacturer instructions and UK consumer authorities. We check the cited page, put a source date beside the article and explain important limitations. We do not claim hands-on testing, invented ratings or a named expert review. Illustrated prices are labelled examples; actual offers come from the live checked catalogue.
Affiliate links and corrections
Some links earn commission if you buy; affiliate links are labelled. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Commission is not evidence of a saving. Our comparisons use the available price, condition and delivery evidence.
If a specification, source or offer looks wrong, send the page and exact issue through support, or submit an offer for review. We correct the relevant content and update its review date when the advice changes.
